A perfect Sunday in November, riding some great new trails in the Putnam County area.

A whole host of personalities showed up for this jam session, and no one went home disappointed.

Just like every Sunday.

This was the first of a two part session, that later had us over a FattireB’s house riding the gap jump and ladder bridges tucked into his back yard.
Another Sunday Ride
28.9 MB - 2’38”
So after “Another Sunday Ride” we went over to the newest quarter acre freeride park in New York. Fatty’s backyard.

Unfortunately the burgers and beer came out before the bikes, so most people did the intelligent thing and stayed off the course.

Zilla, tk, myself and our host did not.

This was the first gap jump I’ve ever hit, and it was easier riding tk’s bike, knowing the consequence of my intoxication would not be taken out on the  Ellsworth.  Thanks tk!

A trip up to Connecticut to visit Beastmaster and his new trail Romper Stomper. We had a big group, perfect weather, and a bunch of great trails for me to give my new Stinky Primo a shake down.

Must have been that test run over Fatty’s gap jump that got me thinking I could jump with the big boys. Well there is still lots of practice to go.

The Stinky must have saved my butt at least three times on this ride. Awesome.

2007 Crash Reel
21.8 MB - 2’07”
2007 was the year of going bigger and higher. Bigger bikes, bigger jumps, and of course bigger falls.

There was plenty of misses on gaps, ramps and skinnies to fill this reel.

And now I hear talk of buying dirt jump bikes, building even bigger gaps, and buying season passes to Diablo.

Looking forward to 2008.
HobbyHorse’s Hood
20.7 MB - 1’59”
I finally got to ride with Hobbyhorse late last year, and man it was a blast. Minus the branch I took to the eye that sent me to the ER. And I was so close to finishing out the year without a hospital visit. Damn.

Took the Stinky Primo up north to take a look at some gaps and ramps. After taking it in the eye, I hit the biggest jump of the day for me. So that’s my new secret. Keep one eye shut.

Why do the jumps look so much bigger when you are in the air?

$teve.00’s Brand New Ride
14.8 MB - 1’25”
Oh my eyes!

At first the glare of $teve.00’s pimped up Nomad reminded me of the pain from that ride with Hobbyhorse, where it felt like there was sand and a X-Acto knife in my eye.

But after watching him try and try again at Fatty’s newly expanded Freeride Park, and make it all the way not once, but twice, I have to give it to him.

White & Chrome is the new Black.
Here we go again. Another trip to Long Island and another two parks and over 25 miles in just a few hours.

After riding rooty, rocky, hilly trails all winter, there is nothing like a short trip to Long Island to give you a new perspective on things.

Fast and flowy, with less than three rocks encountered!  This year we hit up Glacier Ridge & Cathedral Pines and had a blast as always.

Big thanks to Dave (WheelieWonka) our guide.

Whistler 08
42.1 MB - 3’55”
BikeZilla, $teve.00, StinkyPrimo, FattireB, and myself went out to BC for a week and hit up Whistler, a first time for everyone but Ralf (StinkyPrimo).

Goats Gully, A-Line, Clown Shoes, Crank It Up!, Smoke & Mirrors, Too Tight, Dirt Merchant, Freight Train, Schleyer, the list goes on and on.

A week later and we all came out in one piece.
Rock City, Original Sin, Facrobat, No Joke, Crack Addict, JoyRide, Heart of Darkness, Angry Pirate....

Then we hit the North Shore for a day, but that’s another video.
